Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest completely for acclimatization. In the evening, visit Leh Market or Shanti Stupa (optional). Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, go sightseeing. Visit the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Magnetic Hill. View Sangam, where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. Visit Spituk Monastery. Return to Leh. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley (via Khardung La)
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass. Visit Diskit Monastery and the Maitreya Buddha statue. Enjoy Hunder Sand Dunes and take a Bactrian camel ride (optional). Stay overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (via Shyok)
Have an early breakfast and drive to Pangong Lake. Cross the scenic Shyok route and pass through remote villages. Arrive at Pangong Lake, which is at 14,000 feet. Enjoy the sunset at the lake. Stay overnight near Pangong Lake.
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Hanle (Changthang Region)
In the early morning, enjoy the sunrise at Pangong Lake. Drive toward Hanle through the remote Changthang region. Pass through scenic high-altitude villages and vast cold desert landscapes along the way. Arrive at Hanle village. Visit Hanle Monastery, one of the highest in Ladakh. Stay overnight in Hanle (homestay or basic accommodation).
Day 6: Hanle to Leh (via Umling La Pass)
Have an early breakfast and drive back to Leh. Enjoy high-altitude landscapes and, if lucky, wildlife sightings such as kiang and marmots along the way. Arrive in Leh by evening. Take some leisure time in Leh market. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 7: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Head to Leh Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Ladakh.
