Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest completely to acclimatize. In the evening, visit Leh Market or Shanti Stupa if you like. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, go sightseeing. Visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Magnetic Hill. View the Sangam where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. Visit Spituk Monastery. Return to Leh. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley (via Khardung La)
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass. Visit Diskit Monastery and the Maitreya Buddha statue. Enjoy the Hunder Sand Dunes and an optional Bactrian camel ride. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 4: Turtuk Excursion
After breakfast, head to Turtuk Village. Visit Turtuk, the last Indian village near the Indo-Pak border. Explore Balti culture, apricot orchards, and scenic river views. Visit local village homes to experience the unique heritage. Return to Nubra Valley. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (via Shyok)
Have an early breakfast and drive to Pangong Lake. Cross the scenic Shyok route and pass through remote villages. Arrive at Pangong Lake, which is at 14,000 feet. Enjoy the sunset at the lake. Stay overnight near Pangong Lake.
Day 6: Pangong Lake to Hanle (Changthang Region)
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise at Pangong Lake. Drive toward Hanle through the remote Changthang region. On the way, see high-altitude villages and vast cold desert landscapes. Arrive in Hanle village. Visit Hanle Monastery, one of the highest in Ladakh. Stay overnight in Hanle at a homestay or basic accommodation.
Day 7: Hanle to Leh (via scenic route)
Have an early breakfast and drive back to Leh. Enjoy the high-altitude landscapes and wildlife sightings, such as kiang and marmots if you’re lucky. Arrive in Leh by evening. Enjoy some leisure time in Leh market. Stay overnight in Leh.
Day 8: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Head to Leh Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Ladakh.
